One of the most captivating things about Namale is the bure you will occupy! Bures are thatched roof cottages, there are only thirteen, and each one is charming and unique, spacious and luxurious! All bures at Namale have an ambiance that changes from daytime to evening, when the staff transforms each of them into romantic getaways while you're at dinner!

Distinctive Features:
The bures all have a bedroom and sitting area separated from the bath by a connecting dressing area. Bathrooms have sliding glass doors on the outside, and the showers that open to a private deck or a two-person spa tub. Each has been impeccably designed and appointed with magical furnishings and linens, king beds, and a refreshment center (with wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks) where morning tea and coffee can be prepared and enjoyed on your private deck. All bures are very private, tucked amongst lava pinnacles, lush and jungle foliage and rain trees.

The Fijians' history suggests a well-organized society long before European arrivals in the 16th century. Fiji became a British colony in 1874 and won her independence in 1970, leaving the country English speaking. In the villages, the local Fijian history is recorded in authentic song and dance and performed in Meke ceremonies which as guests of Namale, you are privileged to enjoy during your visit. The women, the children and the elders of the village come to sing, dance, and play the drums, it will be one of the most enjoyable highlights of your holiday!



There are more than 300 islands in Fiji, an Engligh-speking country in the heart of the South Pacific, located south of the Hawaiin islands and northeast of Australia. Our eager staff will meet your plane as you land on Vanua Levu and whick you off to the resort, only a 10 minute ride druing which you pass through an authentic, traditional village where the Fijians will wave and shout "Bula!" happily welcoming you to their sacred land.
